Hello. In preparation for tomorrow teleconference, here follows a report about Lacnic43 meeting.
We will be happy to address any question or comments during the teleconference.
cheers
LACNIC meeting took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil from May 5th through 9th side by side with a large ISP conference (ABRINT).
During the week, as usual, other groups also held their meetings like LAC Peering Forum, LACTLD and LAC CSIRTs.
The meeting had more than 1.400 registered attendees in loco and 400 participating remotely.
Tutorials presented during the week approached topics ranging from LACNIC registration system, IPv6 and secure routing.
Presentations focused in network operation, security, IA, datacenters, DNS and other topics happened in the Technical Forum agenda.
LACNIC had its member assembly where finance and auditing where presented and approved by its members.
At the Policy Public Forum two proposals were presented and discussed.
The first one to allow natural persons to request Internet Resources and according to the author the current would not allow sole proprietorship to request resources.
The second one presented was the 4th version of a proposal to allow temporal transfer of IPv4 address blocks in a way to regulate address "rental".
The ASO/AC held an information session focused in the ICP-2 review process. During this session the chronology of process was explained and community was invited to provide comments to the Governance Document.
Next LACNIC meeting, in conjunction with LACNOG2025, will take place in San Salvador, El Salvador, from October 6th through 10th

Thanks Ricardo
Hervé
