Hello,
One of the items in today's teleconference was the ASO/AC representative on the 2025 NOMCOM.
It was mentioned some concerns about not having someone there appointed by us, and that we might have an exception in the deadline to appoint someone.
These are the procedures for appointment to various groups:
"8.1. Appointment and Removal of Appointees
The Address Council shall vote to appoint members to external bodies using the ballot process in Section 7.2. The Address Council may remove any Representative Appointee by approving a proposal to do so by ballot vote under Section 7.2. The Address Council shall have no power to remove a Non-Representative Appointee."
As far as I could check, there would be no impediment to appoint someone from the AC
regards,
Hi, how are you?
Thanks Ricardo for sharing the procedure, and many thanks to Chris for volunteering for this.
Even when we have had a few NomCom representatives coming from the community, the common practice was to do some outreach if none of the AC members were unable to take the position.
i think that, we can go proceed with our new candidate
Regards, Jorge
