Further to my earlier email, I’ve reviewed the PDF that was included in the voting system line by line, comparing it to the Word document that was previously circulated during the discussion period. As far
as I can tell, the final texts (after all changes have been applied) are identical.
Moreover, after talking with some other members of the AC, I’m satisfied that the absence of the full deleted text in the PDF is not problematic. The vote ultimately concerns the final approved text, and any
tracked changes provided were solely for convenience of review.
Accordingly, I’ve voted for the changes, and I encourage the remaining AC members to do so as well.
Thanks,
Nick

Not to be difficult here, but I wonder if the PDF that was provided as part of the voting process (attached) is sufficient. It shows only the additions. The deletions are relegated to bubbles in the margins,
and many of those bubbles don’t depict the full deleted text.
Perhaps it could be argued that (1) voting members need only see the final text that will be approved (which
can be seen in the PDF), even if they can’t see every bit of the deleted text, or (2) voting members
already saw the full additions and deletions in the Word document that was sent as part of the earlier 7-day discussion thread. I’m open to either of those arguments, but I think this issue at least merits discussion before the voting completes.
Thoughts?
Nick
