LACNIC42 REPORT
LACNIC 42 meeting took place in Asunción Paraguay from October 7th to 11th in conjunction with LACNOG2024, which is the network operations group in the region.
Regional CSRIT and FIRST, also had their meetings and training in parallel.
The meeting was conducted in hybrid format and had 580 attendees in person at the location and 460 remotely.
As usual, there were tutorials about IPv6, secure routing, network administration and measurements.
An special session was held to talk about leadership transition and to present how LACNIC deals with its CEO transition.
During the Public Policy Forum the following proposals were presented: - Log of allocations from infrastructure reserved IPv4 pool - Temporary transfers
ASO/AC representatives from the region presented and reported about its activities but also, and mainly, regarding the ICP-2 review.
The presentation happened on October 8th which was the date public consultation was being opened to the public. And it allowed us to present the link where it could be answered. No question or comments were received at the end.
At the meeting closure, LACNIC announced the following LACNIC meeting venue which will be Sao Paulo Brazil.
