Here is a new timeline for the 2023 ICANN NomCom appointment based on your input from last meeting

The ASO AC will be responsible for the selection of the delegate based on the following timeline:

• Announcement of call for nominations for 2023 ICANN NomCom: Wednesday 1 March 2023
• Reminder call for nominations Monday 3 April 2023
• Nomination period ends: Tuesday 25 April 2023
• Evaluation of nominations by the ASO AC: Wednesday 3 to Wednesday 17 May 2023
• Voting period by the ASO AC: Thursday 18 to Wednesday 24 May 2023
• Results reported internally to the ASO AC Thursday 25 May 2023
• Announcement of selected delegate: around Friday 26 May 2023

The above timeline incorporates:

• Longer nomination period starting on 1 March instead of 3 April
• A reminder to the community for 3 April
• One week period after closing nomination to allow the ASO AC to digest the received nominations and have A formal start of the nomination reviews during the scheduled ASO AC May teleconference (3 MAY)

Maybe this timeline could be approved in the next ASO AC teleconference

Based in the below action this a proposed timeline for the 2023 ASO NomCom election. This considered previous year timelines.

New Action Item 221207-3: German V. to prepare the schedule for the 2023 NomCom appointment, which needs to be approved in January 2023.

The ASO AC will be responsible for the selection of the delegate based on the following timeline:

• Announcement of call for nominations for 2023 ICANN NomCom: Monday 3 April 2023
• Nomination period ends: Tuesday 2 May 2023
• Evaluation of nominations by the ASO AC: Thursday 4 to Wednesday 17 May 2023
• Voting period by the ASO AC: Thursday 18 to Wednesday 24 May 2023
• Results reported internally to the ASO AC Thursday 25 May 2023
• Announcement of selected delegate: around Friday 26 May 2023

Note there is a ASO AC scheduled teleconference on the Wednesday 3 May which would allow the AC to have a general discussion of the candidates.

ICANN NomCom requires an ASO appointee confirmed by 31 May 2023
