Thank you Carlos,

a few things came up to the discussion in yesterday's discussion.  one of them was RPKI which has been actively discussed in RIR arena  but the board preferred the discussion later with the Office of CTO may come up with their study.

Including that, the Board respects the opportunity of regular dialogues with ASO and tried to find a good topic, but we didn't find anything readily available in short timeframe and for the virtual set-up.

For the regional policies and activities in RIR arena, it would be good for you to know that the Board is well informed through the SO/AC updates by Policy Development Support team in every workshop adjunct to the public meetings.  That for ASO is done, of course, by Carlos.  Thank you Carlos for that  every time!

Just to share:  Instead of regular full-day Board workshop from Friday to Sunday, the Board made it a bit longer from Monday to Friday, a couple of hours each in "normal teleconference hours" like 14UTC or 20UTC.  Finally the first-ever virtual public meeting is starting, hope we will find it still fruitful!

All the Best,

Akinori, in Tokyo but in the course of adjusting my life for Cancun time

Hello, all.

Following the ASO AC discussion during the March monthly meeting, the Joint Meeting between the ASO and the ICANN Board scheduled for Tuesday, 10 March has been canceled and removed from the ICANN67 Virtual Community Forum schedule webpage. Thank you for your input.

The ICANN Board did not have any additional topics for discussion after my briefing. However, please let me know how you would like to provide the usual update (RIR policy development work, IPv4 and IPv6 statistics, etc.) and if I can help coordinate the written responses to the two areas of interest originally proposed by the ICANN Board:

1.  Key priorities for action of ICANN constituencies in 2020 (e.g. prioritization of recommendations, streamlining of reviews, improve effectiveness of ICANN’s multistakeholder model, ...)

2.  Specific developments coming up that ICANN constituencies feel need to be addressed when updating the ICANN Strategic Plan.

Ron and Akinori, please feel free to provide more context about the ICANN Board discussion.

Best,
Carlos
