I don’t know if the timeline below is the last version.
Answering Action Item 200115-2 (Review the Board Member Selection Procedure timeline…): I’ve no fundamental issue with the one proposed. Just 2 comments:
- as discussed with Kevin during end of year’19 meeting, the proposed changes will be presented during ICANN 67 Meeting,
- “Comment Phase” includes candidates selection for Interview as well. The dedicated period overlaps 2 years meaning that the ASO AC won’t be necessarily comprised of the same members at the beginning and end. Not critical but we have to pay attention to.

The review and update to ICANN Board Selection procedure should be closed 60 Days prior to Nomination Phase (25 June 2020) Present the proposed changes to EC during ICANN 68 Meeting EC Approval and further discussion: 30 June 2020 - 15 August 2020 (45 days) New Operating Procedure ready to publish. 30 August 2020
Time on the basis of current operating procedures: Nomination Phase: 15 September 2020 – 15 November 2020 (60 Days) Comment Phase: 16 December 2020 – 15 January 2021 (min 30 days at the close of Nomination Phase) Due Diligence Review: Give names for Due Diligence after selecting candidates for Interview Interview Phase: 16 January 2021 – 16 March 2021 (60 days window after 30 days of Comment Phase) Selection Phase: 17 March 2021 – 8 April 2021 (Min 14 days) [Vote: 9 April 2021 - 16 April 2021] Announcement: Around 20 April 2021
