Within the ASO context as defined by the MoU, global policies are Internet number resource policies that have the agreement of all Regional Internet Registries according to their policy development processes and ICANN, and require specific actions or outcomes on the part of IANA or any other external ICANN-related body in order to be implemented. The global policy proposal that has been introduced is titled: Global policy proposal for the allocation of IPv4 blocks to Regional Internet Registries and it concerns: 1. Recovery of IPv4 address space 2. Allocation of recovered IPv4 address space by the IANA This global policy proposal is being discussed in the Regional Internet Registries' policy fora.
