TR: Update to ASO-AC on 2026 NomCom Application Status
Dear all, Please find below this NomCom report prepared by Pablo (Thanks!) Bets regards Hervé == Dear colleagues, Hope 2026 has started well for you. This is a brief update about the status of the 2026 NomCom cycle. The application period closed on Feb 18 and delivered 232 eligible applications (a record high). Thank you to those of you who supported outreach within your respective networks. The strong application numbers are in part a reflection of that effort. 72% of eligible applications were for the ICANN Board, with the remaining 28% distributed across the PTI Board, ALAC (EU and NA), ccNSO, and GNSO positions. The pre-screening phase progressed well and ensured that only complete applications advance. We are now going through Application Review and Soft Dive stages to narrow the pool and identify the candidates for Deep Dive interviews. Overall the process remains on track. If you have any feedback for the NomCom, or recommendations for future cycles, these are welcome at any time. I will be in Mumbai and would be very pleased to catch up with you, noting of course that I can only speak to procedural aspects.
