LACNIC44/LACNOG2025 meeting took place in San Salvador, El Salvador from October6th through 10th.

The meeting was held in conjunction with the Latin American Network Operators Group - LACNOG

As usual, there were tutorials related to IPv6, secure routing, peering and policy development.

The meeting had more than 700 attendees in person and around 450 participating remotely.

Presentations focused in network operation, IPv6, security, IA, datacenters, DNS and other topics, were presented during the LACNOG slots

The public policy forum had five policy proposals being presented. Two of them related to IPv4 leasing and some related to resources allocation to individuals.

The ASO/AC presented a general report and overview of the council during the policy forum and later in the same day, it held an informative session about the ICP-2 review process. Several questions were raised at the end of the informative session.

Next LACNIC meeting (LACNIC45) will take place in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, from May 11h through 15th, 2026
